Room 406, Friday Afternoon

Ringo was actually surprised to find out just how much make-up she owned. When she'd first come to Fandom, her tiny collection of lip glosses plus her one eye shadow and blush (neither of which got much use) had fit in a single little bag. Now her collection spread out over most of her desk. Sure, most of it had gotten tried once and then stuffed into the back of drawers as not quite her color or too much work to get just right, but she still hadn't realized just how much of the stuff she'd picked up over the course of two years.

She shook her head and grinned as she grabbed a cookie from the box that occupied one of the spare corners of the desk. Apparently she should clean up more often. She'd found a couple of unopened boxes of Girl Scout cookies stashed with some of her unused make-up. Ringo wasn't sure how she'd lost track of cookies, but she couldn't really complain right that moment because, well, cookies!

And now it was going to be a race between Ringo's appetite and her expected guests arriving. She wondered how many cookies would be left!

"Best?" Ringo frowned. "Um, best how?" Like, her nicest one?

Sorry, Kathy. Ringo hadn't had anyone to teacher her these important parts for the past year or so.

Ouch. Kathy was realizing that and she had no one to blame since she'd been around for over a year now.

"I want to see the one that gives you the best lift," she explained. "The best support from something that isn't a sports bra. Do you have a bra that gives you decent cleavage?"

Ringo didn't blame Kathy. In fact, she'd be upset with the idea that Kathy even thought of it in terms of blame.

"Oh!" Ringo thought about that.

"Um. Maybe?"

She dug through her drawers for a second. "I think it's this one?" she said, holding up black bra that Rika had made her buy during her last trip home to Tokyo.

Fortunately for Ringo, Rika did know what she was doing, and it was almost certainly exactly what Kathy was talking about.

Kathy generally thought of everything in terms of blame. At least when the option to blame herself was present.

But that was something to fret over when she wasn't helping people get ready for prom.

"Okay, that one looks promising," Kathy said. "Put it on, fluff, and let's see what necklines that opens up for us."

"Okay." Ringo nodded.

Then flushed slightly.

"But you have to turn around." She shot a look at Alluka to include her in that order.

Changing dresses in front her her senpai and her friend? No big deal. Changing bras? They were going to have to turn around.

"Okay, okay," Kathy said, dutifully turning around and paying studious attention to Ringo's closet.

After some fidgeting and adjustment, Ringo managed to get the bra on. Properly.

"Okay," she announced hesitantly. "Is this okay?"

Yeah, Rika was good at this sort of thing because this particular bra, combined with Ringo's ridiculous build and a bit of fluff work revealed that she had some truly impressive cleavage.

Kathy turned around and actually applauded. "Jealous," she announced. "I'm officially jealous."

Ringo had more boob in a single cup than Kathy did on her whole chest.

"Now we can start looking for a proper dress for you," Kathy declared. The bra Ringo was wearing wasn't plunge enough for the dress they'd discarded, but something with a slightly higher neckline would work. "Hmmm," Kathy said, looking for the dress she'd been admiring before Ringo had told them to turn around, "try...this one."

"Really?" Ringo flushed, but her smile was pleased. She didn't get a lot of compliments, and hearing one from Kathy made her feel fuzzy-happy.

"Okay," she reached out for the dress, then frowned. "Where'd this come from?" It was a pretty nice dress, but she didn't remember seeing it before.

"Your closet?" Kathy said, pointing to the small space on the rack where it had been. "It was smushed between two other ones and looks like it's been there awhile." She frowned at it. "If you end up wearing it, we'll probably need to iron it."

"Huh." Ringo shrugged. It was probably fine to put it on since it was from her closet, right? Even if she wasn't sure how it had gotten there?

"Well, I guess we better see how it looks, huh?" Ringo turned the dress around in her hands a couple of times looking it over, then shrugged again and began pulling it on.

"It's actually pretty comfortable," she said after a moment. Then she did a little twirl. "I'm not totally sure about the color, but what do you think?"

"I think the fit is spectacular," Kathy told her with a proud nod. "And that anyone who is into girls is gonna give you at least a double-take."

She kinda thought it would be fun to see Dante's reaction to a hot Ringo.

"Yeah?" Ringo sounded hesitant, but also hopeful at the same time. "You really think so?"

She didn't dislike the idea of making people do a double-take. She was used to being just kind of there, so being noticed actually sounded fun.

"I really do," Kathy said firmly. "Everyone here thinks they know you, Ringo. So you gotta shake 'em up a bit, let them know there are facets of you that they've never seen before."

She booped Ringo's nose. "You've gotta learn there are facets of you to explore, too."

Ringo wrinkled her nose and let out a little giggle. "Oh, yeah, senpai? Like what?"

"Like being a hot girl," Kathy said, heading back to the bed for more chocolate. "Like wanting to flirt and be noticed."

She gestured for Ringo to put that dress in the maybe pile.

"Maybe for a little more than flirting and being noticed if you feel ready for it."

Honestly, right around junior prom was when Kathy had blossomed.

"Hey, I can flirt."

No you couldn't, Ringo. You never practiced!

She ducked her head. "I don't know if you should get your hopes up for anything else, though."

Ringo clearly needed more friends to notice and flirt with.

"I don't have high hopes for anything specific," Kathy said, giving Ringo an understanding smile. She'd lucked out and had an Ezra to practice on, not everyone had. And Dante, even if he hadn't taken a turn for fidelity, hadn't been much for flirting. Unless Nice shoes wanna fuck was counted as flirting now. "Other than you having fun at your prom. Everything else can come later."

Ringo nodded and smiled. "I promise to have fun, then."

"Though it won't be as much fun without you there."

"What are you talking about?" Kathy laughed, pointing at her red gown. "I'll be there tonight. It's Dante's senior prom, too."

Ringo perked up, then smirked slightly. "I hope he doesn't mind of I steal his date, then."

"You'll have to work out some negotiation with him and Anders both, but I have faith you three can come to terms," Kathy said with a laugh. "But yeah, I figured you, Alluka, and I can catch a rickshaw to the community center together and everything."

"You always have the best ideas," Ringo declared happily, moving in for another hug.

"Now we just have to finish picking dresses. Then make-up and hair. And... more snacks!"

"And your present," Kathy said, gleefully. "Which you don't get until you're ready!"

"Awww, I want it noooow," Ringo fake-whined like a brat.

"You're such a bully, senpai."
