Room 406, Friday Afternoon
Ringo was actually surprised to find out just how much make-up she owned. When she'd first come to Fandom, her tiny collection of lip glosses plus her one eye shadow and blush (neither of which got much use) had fit in a single little bag. Now her collection spread out over most of her desk. Sure, most of it had gotten tried once and then stuffed into the back of drawers as not quite her color or too much work to get just right, but she still hadn't realized just how much of the stuff she'd picked up over the course of two years.
She shook her head and grinned as she grabbed a cookie from the box that occupied one of the spare corners of the desk. Apparently she should clean up more often. She'd found a couple of unopened boxes of Girl Scout cookies stashed with some of her unused make-up. Ringo wasn't sure how she'd lost track of cookies, but she couldn't really complain right that moment because, well, cookies!
And now it was going to be a race between Ringo's appetite and her expected guests arriving. She wondered how many cookies would be left!
[ooc: Expecting a couple, but open if anyone else wants to swing by and talk to Ringo beforehand.]

"Hey there!" she called out. "Who wants help getting ready?"
She'd also brought her own gown along, figuring she'd get changed along with them and they could head out as a group before she met up with Dante and Anders.

Help her, Kathy! Please!

"I would like to look like a princess tonight," Alluka admitted. "Are you going to have the time to look like one too thought?"
no subject
She'd had more proms than she'd really had any right to and had squandered two of them. Which was why she was here now, making sure that both Alluka and Ringo made the most of theirs.
"That reminds me though. I have presents."
no subject
Soory, Kathy, but Alluka had heard the best word ever.
"Presents?! For us?!"
no subject
"Presents," she said. "For you."
The first thing she pulled out of her oversized bag was a big box of fancy chocolates. "I know I like to make sure you eat more than just chocolate," she said, "but today is a fancy occasion. So we're going to eat chocolate and drink sparkling apple cider--" she pulled out several bottles of that, as well as plastic glasses that looked like champagne flutes, "--and just be really fancy while we get dressed and ready to go."
She looked at Alluka and winked. "So long as we can all do that neatly, especially once our makeup is on."
no subject
"Kathy, Kathy you're the best."
Could Kathy hear the squee in Alluka's voice? Because she was squeeing.

And pulling out a slender box with a little clasp in front. "Here," she said, passing it over to Alluka. "See what's inside."
no subject
"What did you bring?" Goodies!

She shot Kathy a sort of happy smirk. "And, come on, you know I'd make it special all by myself if I had to." Her expression softened slightly. "But you being here makes it more special." So don't go anywhere.
no subject
After that, well, things got hazy, but she was still going to try. "Yeah, I know you would have," Kathy said fondly, giving Ringo a kiss on the side of her temple. "But I'm your senpai. And that means that sometimes, I show up to make things special, just so you don't have to."
There was a small pause while Kathy gave Ringo a warm smile.
"...And also to show you how it's done."
Brat!
no subject
"We'll just see who shows who what!"
It was Kathy. Kathy was going to teach you how to do your make-up properly, Ringo. And you weren't fooling anyone.
no subject
And then she had a special gift for Ringo, the way she'd had the tiara for Alluka, but she was going to wait to give it to her. Because, again, brat.
"So let me pour us all something to drink and open up these chocolates while you show me what you're going to wear tonight."
no subject
She glanced over at Kathy. "Um... fashion show?"

"Ringo," she wailed, as she wandered in with an armful of dresses, "I don't know what dress to wear anymore!"
It was the end of the world (okay, not really) and Ringo had better have cookies and an answer for her.
no subject
That probably wouldn't work.
"Put those down on the bed," Ringo directed with a grin. "They're in the way." Of Ringo's plan to hug Alluka.
no subject
"They wouldn't all fit at the same time, Ringo!" Alluka protested, even as she did as she was told and gently set her dresses down on the bed.
no subject
She half-glanced at the pile of dresses and chuckled. "Are these all new?"
no subject
"All but one," she admitted. "I got my work shift moved to Fridays and, and then I realized it was Prom tonight and there were an awful lot of pretty dresses..."
And impulse control was not one of Alluka's strong points.
no subject
She also put on a mock pout. "Also, it doesn't look like any of these will fit me." Especially given that Alluka and Ringo had totally different builds.
no subject
"Definitely not in any way that suit you," she said, shaking her head.
no subject
"But I'm kind of serious," she added. "Since you can only wear one of these tonight, we need to find some good chances for you to wear the others!" And, you know, Ringo could use the same opportunities.
